THE MIAMI BEACH VISITOR AND CONVENTION AUTHORITY (MBVCA) has recently released its 2023/2024 grant guidelines for special events, promotions, activities and festivals which will stimulate tourism by increasing hotel occupancy and will have significant media impact for Miami Beach between October 1, 2023 and September 30, 2024 in the following categories: Development Opportunities, Film Incentive, Major One Time Special Event, Special Events Recurring, Special Projects, Special Projects Recurring, and Tourism Partnerships.

Development Opportunities

Targeted specifically to organizations with a new or one-time event that has the potential to become recurring, can generate a significant tourism return for Miami Beach, and that has extraordinary national and/or international tourism impact for Miami Beach are eligible.

Film Incentive

The Film Incentive Grant Program is designed to attract and encourage film productions to film in Miami Beach by providing them with incentive dollars to utilize Miami Beach venues and generate hotel room nights in Miami Beach.

Major One Time Special Event

Organizations with a new or one-time event that have the potential to become recurring, can generate a significant tourism return for Miami Beach, and that have extraordinary national and/or international tourism impact for Miami Beach.

Special Events Recurring

Organizations with an event that has a minimum of one year track record as a successful tourism activity in Miami Beach and who have received MBVCA funding in the past and has maintained the eligibility criteria established in the Major One Time Special Event grant category.

Special Projects

Specifically targeted towards those organizations with an event or program that can generate extraordinary return in viewership and/or promotion.

Special Projects Recurring

Organizations with an event that has a minimum of one year track record with the MBVCA and that has maintained the eligibility criteria established in the Special Projects Recurring category.

Tourism Partnerships

Specifically targeted towards non-profit organizations with the responsibility to develop and promote broad areas of Miami Beach’s tourism industry (e.g. neighborhood associations, industry service organizations, area marketing groups), year-round.
